You could, for example, discuss the Checklist with your workplace Union group and then school leadership team. This may then lead on to negotiating a Disability Leave Policy in your workplace. Every workplace should also make sure they have the poster displayed for all staff.

Long Covid
To ensure that Long Covid is managed fairly and consistently, and that staff are treated properly, joint unions (NEU, ASCL, NAHT, NASUWT, Unite, GMB and Voice Community) have agreed a protocol for workplace management of those diagnosed as having Long Covid. The protocol is a basis for negotiation with employers, NEU members and reps are encouraged to negotiate its implementation in the workplace.
Coronavirus: medically vulnerable and higher risk groups – This is joint unions advice (NEU, GMB, UCU, Unison and Unite) for staff working in schools who are medically vulnerable or at higher risk from Covid-19 and focuses on employers undertaking individual risk assessments.
